Welcome to the Co-op Membership Application Site

[International Students(OPS)] Welcome to UOsaka!

To those considering joining the Co-op

Osaka University Co-op supports your studies and life in Japan!
Our campuses feature stores, cafeterias, and bookstores offering a wide variety of products and services.

Our Membership

The University Co-op is an organization where each member contributes money (capital stock), becomes a member, and jointly operates and uses the facilities.
Most students and many faculty and staff members join the Co-op.
To become a member, you must pay capital stock (10 shares for 3,000 yen for international students). This capital stock will be returned to you upon graduation or when you leave Osaka University, in accordance with the Articles of Incorporation. We encourage you to join the Co-op!

Member Benefits

Co-op members receive the following benefits:

・Enjoy member pricing at Co-op cafeterias and convenience stores.

・Receive 10.5% points back when paying with Co-op e-money at Co-op bookstores.

・Find housing through Co-op My Room.

・For other services, please check here.

Important Notes

If you already have a Japanese phone number, please be sure to enter it here.
If you plan to obtain a Japanese phone number in the future, please notify the Co-op as soon as you have one.

Your membership card is an app; please confirm whether you can download it.

If you are unable to download the app even after setting your mobile phone to Japanese settings, or if you do not own a smartphone, please consult the Co-op counter. Approximately three weeks after your request, we will send an IC card to the address you provided, or the card will be handed to you at the co-op counter.

※ For those who can use the app and wish to receive an IC card, a ¥2,000 issuance fee will be charged. (This fee is non-refundable upon withdrawal.)
