Welcome to the Co-op Membership Application Site

[Current students(OPS)] Welcome to Osaka University

The Osaka University Co-op is a cooperative organization whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life and culture through mutual cooperation between its members—students, graduate students, and faculty/staff—and its staff. It plays a vital role in creating welfare and support environments that serve as "places for living" at Osaka University, beyond its educational and research functions.

Co-op stores carry essential items for your comfortable university life. By joining the co-op, you can shop at member prices. If you are not a co-op member, you will be charged non-member prices: books are sold at list price, and other items incur a non-member surcharge.

For those advancing from Osaka University

For those continuing enrollment at Osaka University's graduate school, those whose expected graduation year has changed, or those becoming faculty or staff members, please do not proceed with the capital contribution refund process. Instead, please complete the member information change procedure below.

◆Regarding Capital Contributions

When joining the Co-op, we ask for a capital contribution of 60 shares at ¥18,000 (¥300 per share). Upon leaving Osaka University due to graduation, transfer, or retirement, the capital contribution you entrusted to us will be returned in accordance with the provisions of the Articles of Incorporation.

◆Student Comprehensive Mutual Aid / Student Liability Insurance / Education Expense Protection Insurance

Coverage is provided until undergraduate graduation, so continuation procedures are required. Please complete the procedures before the policy expires. ※ If you wish to continue coverage from mutual aid or insurance you had at another university, please complete the "Transfer Out (Change of Affiliation)" procedure at your former co-op. After that, you must complete the co-op membership enrollment procedure at the Osaka University Co-op and the "Transfer In" procedure for mutual aid and insurance.

Those who are not currently enrolled

You can join by becoming a member of the Osaka University Co-op. For details about the Student Comprehensive Mutual Aid Plan, please visit the website below.
